Oktoberfest revellers in Cincinnati have something to be excited about every year: The ‘Running of the Wieners’ races. For this event, 100 adorable short-legged pups race for the title of the fastest wiener.
Each wiener gets dressed in a hot dog costume with a choice of topping—mustard or ketchup, and work their tiny flanks to be crowned the speediest.
This year, a hundred over wieners raced to the finished, cheered on by their proud owners. Other than dachshunds, other breeds that fit snug in the hot dog costumes took part as well. Have a look at some pictures below.
